Expanding Our One-stop Channels
In order to respond to the customer opinion that it would be "convenient to have a single location where customers can receive consultations on asset management, wills, and inheritance without having to visit a securities company or a trust bank," Mizuho Bank is making efforts to expand its one-stop channels.
Setting up Planet Booths for Mizuho Investor Securities in MHBK Branch Lobbies
In order to provide the convenience of one-stop shopping to our customers, Mizuho is offering a full line of securities services by setting up "Planet Booths," or booths for consultations with Mizuho Investors Securities, in MHBK branch lobbies. As of the end of June 2010, "Planet Booths" had been set up in a total of 153 branches.
MHBK, MHTB, and MHSC Establishing Joint Branches
As a specific measure to strengthen Mizuho's comprehensive financial service capabilities that incorporate banking services, trust services, and securities services, Mizuho Financial Group is proceeding to set up joint branches of Mizuho Bank, Mizuho Investors Securities, and Mizuho Trust & Banking. In January 2010, within the building where the Shinjuku Gaienmae Branch of Mizuho Bank is located, and in June 2010, within the buildings where the Edogawabashi Branch and the Asakusabashi of Mizuho Bank are located, a "Trust Lounge" of Mizuho Trust & Banking and a "Planet Booth" of Mizuho Investors Securities were established.
Moreover, by acting as a trust agency for Mizuho Trust & Banking, the head office and branches of Mizuho Bank make proposals and provide introductions to Mizuho Trust & Banking upon receiving inquiries regarding trust products such as testamentary trusts and inheritance distribution.
Parking Lot Information Posted on Website
Under "Branch and ATM Information" on our website, we have indicated whether each branch has a parking lot and, if so, a map showing the location*. This was done in order to respond to customer comments about not knowing whether there is a branch parking lot and, if there is one, not knowing where it is.
