Since 2006, Mizuho employees, family members and friends have participated in Mizuho Volunteer Day, volunteering in their local communities as part of Mizuho's day of global community service.

Mizuho Volunteer Day held in 61 cities worldwide in 2014

Mizuho proactively encourages volunteer activities in the communities that are the foundation of its activities. The aims of these activities include strengthening relationships with local communities and contributing to nurturing a unity of purpose among all management and employees as well as enhancing Mizuho's positioning in society. Mizuho Volunteer Day is positioned as a period when management and employees can focus on engaging actively in substantive volunteer activities. During the period from July to December 2014, a total of approximately 5,100 Mizuho employees, the members of their families, and others at 61 locations in 19 countries engaged in a wide range of activities that were designed to meet community needs.
